Cancellations & Rescheduling

Simple notice windows, fair fees, and how to change or cancel your MoveBase booking.

1. Notice windows & fees

  • 24+ hours: no fee.
  • 3-24 hours: up to 50% of the booked tier.
  • <3 hours or after dispatch: up to 100% of the booked tier.
  • No access / unsafe site / items not onsite: may be charged up to 100% of the booked tier and any incurred surcharges.

If we cancel and cannot offer a reasonable alternative time, any prepayment is refunded or credited. Safety/weather reschedules do not incur cancellation fees.

2. How to reschedule or cancel

  • Email info@movebase.com.au or call 07 5646 6295 with your booking name, address, and scheduled time.
  • For reschedules, share your preferred new date/time and any updated access details.
  • We confirm in writing; once confirmed, the booking is locked to these rules.

3. Rush, travel, and prepayments

  • Rush/after-hours/weekend/public holiday surcharges and travel surcharges already incurred may be non-refundable if the booking is cancelled due to client-side issues.
  • ProBuild bookings may require a 50% prepayment; same-day rush may require 100% upfront. Retained amounts follow the notice windows above unless required otherwise under the ACL.

4. Force majeure & safety

  • Severe weather, unsafe conditions, or events outside either party’s control may require rescheduling without fees.
  • We reserve the right to stop or refuse work if conditions are unsafe. Normal call-out or cancellation charges may apply where the issue is client-side.

5. Australian Consumer Law

Your ACL rights always apply. We aim for fair outcomes and will consider remedies under the ACL where applicable.
