Terms of Service

Clear, client-facing terms for MoveBase furniture assembly and installation services.

1. Who we are

MoveBase is a premium, fixed-price furniture assembly and installation service across the Gold Coast, Logan, Brisbane, and Tweed. We specialise in flat-pack assembly, placement, and safe anchoring. We do not provide pickup, delivery, or relocation.

2. Packages, pricing, surcharges

  • Packages: QuickBuild LT ($140), CoreBuild SD ($190), ProBuild HD ($540, up to 4 hrs), ProBuild FD ($910, up to 7 hrs).
  • Rush / After-Hours / Weekend / PH: $50 when available; same-day priority may carry a dynamic access fee based on schedule availability.
  • Travel: $0 Core Area (Gold Coast & Logan); $60 Surcharge Area (Brisbane, Scenic Rim/Beaudesert, Northern NSW/Tweed). Sunshine Coast is case-by-case at Full-Day minimum.
  • Excess waste: $60 per request; clean waste only, no large furniture (unless otherwise agreed).

3. Booking & confirmation

  • Send item links/photos, access, parking, stairs/lift details via our contact form.
  • Booking is confirmed once you accept our package recommendation in writing.
  • QuickBuild/CoreBuild: pay on completion (optional deposit to lock your date). ProBuild HD/FD: 50% upfront preferred; same-day rush may require 100% to secure priority.

4. Access, safety, scope

  • Provide safe, clear access and disclose stairs, tight access, parking, or strata rules.
  • One specialist attends; exclude heavy lifts beyond solo-safe handling.
  • No pickup/delivery logistics, no wall mounting, no appliance installs, no licensed trades.
  • Unsafe weather/conditions may require rescheduling; no fees for safety-driven reschedules.
  • Force majeure (e.g., severe weather, accidents, sudden hazards) may require rescheduling without fees; ACL rights still apply.

5. Cancellations & rescheduling

  • 24+ hours: no fee.
  • 3-24 hours: up to 50% of the booked tier.
  • <3 hours or after dispatch: up to 100% of the booked tier.
  • No access/unsafe/not ready/items not onsite: may be charged up to 100% of the booked tier and any incurred surcharges.
  • If we cancel and cannot offer a reasonable alternative, any prepayment is refunded or credited.
  • Safety/force majeure reschedules do not incur cancellation fees.

6. Payment

  • QuickBuild/CoreBuild: pay on completion; optional deposit to lock your date.
  • ProBuild HD/FD: 50% upfront preferred; same-day rush may require 100% to secure priority.
  • Methods: Cash/Card (EasyTap) on-site, Card (Stripe), PayPal, Bank Transfer/PayID.
  • Receipts: issued electronically; we are not presently GST registered.

7. Workmanship warranty

  • QuickBuild LT: Basic guarantee ends when the technician departs; issues must be raised on-site.
  • CoreBuild SD / ProBuild HD / ProBuild FD: 14-day workmanship guarantee from completion for workmanship issues.
  • Anchoring is performed only when the wall/structure is suitable; if unsafe or unsuitable, we will advise and skip anchoring.
  • Excludes product defects, misuse, relocation after install, or unsuitable structures. See the Workmanship Warranty.

8. Refunds & ACL

  • ACL rights always apply.
  • Workmanship issues: rework first; if not reasonable or unsuccessful, partial/full refund or credit may apply.
  • Refunds returned to original payment method where possible; allow 5–10 business days after approval.
  • Non-recoverable merchant fees may be deducted for change-of-mind/client-side cancellations where permitted by law.

9. Liability & insurance

MoveBase carries appropriate public liability cover. To the fullest extent permitted by the Australian Consumer Law, our liability is limited to re-supplying the services or paying the cost of re-supply. Nothing here limits your ACL rights. Please disclose fragile finishes, access hazards, or special conditions before we start.
